Last updated: 20 August 2025

Owner: Taylor Lareste

WordLight (“the App”) is a simple, offline speed-reading/highlighting tool. This privacy policy explains the App’s data practices.

Summary

WordLight does not collect, share, or sell any personal data.

Data Collection

The App does not collect any data—personal, device, usage, analytics, or identifiers. No accounts, sign-ins, or background transmissions are used.

User Content

Text you paste into the App is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to any server or third party. Closing or clearing the App removes the text from memory.

Data Sharing

No data is shared with third parties. The App contains no SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, or payments.

Data Retention

No personal data is retained. The App stores no cloud backups and performs no remote synchronization.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. Because no data is collected, we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Because the App does not send or store data outside your device, risks related to transmission or server storage do not apply.

International Transfers

No international data transfers occur. The App does not transmit data off the device.

Changes to This Policy

If the App’s features or data practices change in the future (for example, adding analytics or ads), this policy will be updated here before release. Please review this page periodically.
